Theodore Roosevelt V (born 1976) is an American businessman and environmentalist. He is the great-great-grandson of President Theodore Roosevelt and son of banker and conservationist Theodore Roosevelt IV.
Until 2008, Roosevelt worked at the investment bank Lehman Brothers;[2] he is currently a Senior Vice President in fixed income at its successor, Barclays Capital. Roosevelt is a board member of the New York League of Conservation Voters [3] and ecoAmerica.[4] He was an early supporter of President Barack Obama[5] and served on the presidential campaign's Energy and Environment committee. Roosevelt married Serena Clare Torrey on September 12, 2008,[1] just two days before Lehman declared bankruptcy. He graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
In "The Indomitable Theodore Roosevelt," a 1986 movie biography of the president, Roosevelt played the part of his own great-granduncle, Quentin Roosevelt.[6] Roosevelt appeared in "In the Blood," a 1989 documentary which argues that safari hunting helps preserve African wildlife.[7]
